Vista de la Montaña United Methodist Church
The 10.17-acre site is a former ICBM (Inter-Continental Ballistic Missile), which still has the decommissioned underground military structures buried below. The new multi-purpose/sanctuary building seats 375 people and includes a commercial quality kitchen. The new Phase 1 design incorporates an existing meditation garden with a new Columbarium with panoramic views of Pusch Ridge. The design is based on Sonoran indigenous architecture, which integrates mass walls, punched openings, rich colors, and rustic wood trellis.
