Kino Veterans Memorial Recreation Center

During the design of Kino Recreation Center, ABA Architects evaluated active and passive energy saving materials and methods. Energy efficient translucent panel systems flood areas with natural lighting. Patios are shaded with devices that are angled to provide maximum shade during the hottest parts of the day in summer, yet let in more light when the sun is at a lower winter angle. ABA Architects also evaluated construction materials and methods for their energy efficiency and environmental impact.
